If you have any questions about this policy, or would like to see the information we hold on you, then please contact us using the details on the Contact Us page.
Please review this policy from time to time as it may change in the future.
At Lollipop Local, we collect and process ‘personal data’ and/or ‘sensitive personal data’ as defined in the Data Protection Act 1998. This may be data on our clients, their staff/suppliers, as well as data within our own administrative systems. All data are processed in accordance with the legislation – be it on site to the Policy of the client, or on our own systems in line with this policy. All feasible security systems are in place.
Part of our compliance is the registration of the purposes for which we process data with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) – the ‘Notification’. This Notification is available on the Public Register of Data Controllers at www.ico.gov.uk
We may share data with third parties as part of our contracted services (for example, but not limited to, service providers), within our administrative systems and/or if we are required to do so by UK Law. This may include sensitive personal data – but you will be aware when this processing is taking place, unless it is in your best interests not to do so. We cannot accept liability for any processing conducted by any third party outside our remit.
We utilise cookies to improve our site for all visitors and make it easily accessible. We use Google Analytics and other tracking cookies for these purposes and are as unobtrusive into your privacy as possible. If you opt out of allowing all cookies, then sections of our website may not function fully for you.
Measuring our visitors
We measure visitors to our website using Google Analytics. This records what pages you view within our site, how you arrived at our site and some basic information about your computer. All of that information is anonymous – so we don’t know who you are; just that somebody visited our site.
The information we collect from analytics helps us understand what parts of our sites are doing well, how people arrive at our site and so on. Like most websites, we use this information to make our website better.
You can learn more about Google Analytics or opt out if you wish.
Facebook, Twitter and other social networks
These services provide social buttons and similar features which we use on our website – such as the “Like” and “Tweet” buttons.
To do so we embed code that they provide and we do not control ourselves. To function their buttons generally know if you’re logged in; for example Facebook use this to say “x of your friends like this”. We do not have any access to that information, nor can we control how those networks use it.
Social networks therefore could know that you’re viewing this website, if you use their services (that isn’t to say they do, but their policies may change). As our website is remarkably inoffensive we imagine this is not a concern for most users.
None of the above affects your rights to request access to any of your personal data we may hold. Should you wish to make such a request under the legislation, please do so in writing – email is acceptable. Please note that we may charge a £10 administration fee for requests, which is payable in advance and non-refundable.
