You can see why people might wonder if the end of email is nigh. After all, how many times do you send a PM or DM direct to the person’s social media account? However, you also need to factor in how many people there are out there who are not your friends on social media. Professional communications are still carried out via traditional secure means and with that level of ‘distance’ that ensures the correct working relationship.

And recent figures from comScore also support the rise of mobile emailing through smartphones. It doesn’t look like email will be throwing in the towel any time soon.
