When To Use a Facebook Business Account
It’s hard to believe but there actually are some people out there who don’t have a personal Facebook account.
And there are some who have deleted a Facebook Account because they’ve tried it before and found that it was just a time sucker to which they became addicted.
However, some of these people have also come to understand the importance of having a Facebook Page for their business. So what can be done if they don’t want to sign up in the usual way?
Well, there are dedicated business accounts available for such individuals.
These allow them to administer their Business Pages and Facebook Ad campaigns but they cannot view the profiles of other site users or see any content that is not on the pages they administer. No one will be able to find these accounts in search and friend requests cannot be sent or received.
Unlike regular Facebook Pages, the administrator will only be able to post on that Page as the Page – there is no option to post as him/herself.
To create a Business Account, you first need to create a Facebook Ad or Facebook Page and, after entering the necessary details, you will be taken to the ‘Facebook Login’ page. Here, you will be asked to select the “I do not have a Facebook account” option and your email address and date of birth will be requested.
It is important to remind everyone that maintaining or managing multiple accounts, regardless of the purpose, is a violation of Facebook’s Terms of Use so, if you already have a personal account, then you are not allowed to create business accounts for any reason and must manage any Pages or Ads that you create from your personal account.
If, however, you change your mind and decide that you would like to convert your Business account to a personal account, this is possible by clicking the link at the bottom of the page.
